[Accounting Manager]

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our Korea accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local accounting standards (K-GAAP), tax regulations, and US GAAP/IFRS (as applicable), while supporting internal and external reporting requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our Korea business.

Key Responsibilities

Take responsibility for accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, and fixed assetsEnsure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closingPrepare and review financial statements in compliance with K-GAAP and group policies (e.g., US GAAP or IFRS)Ensure smooth month-end closing under IFRS & group reporting procedures to provide accurate numbers in financial statement and group consolidation report.Supervise all operations handled by GBS and bring successful cooperation.Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agenciesOversee local tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.)Lead YE tax adjustment for CIT filing, in proactive cooperation with DeloitteEnsure internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and SOX (if applicable)Manage and mentor junior accountants, if applicableLiaise with headquarters and regional finance teams for reporting and ad-hoc analysis

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/AICPA preferred)Minimum 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience, including Leadership experienceSolid knowledge of Korean GAAP and taxation; US GAAP/IFRS knowledge preferredPrior experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry a plusProficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, and other equivalent tools used in FreseniusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFluent in Korean; proficiency in English (written and verbal) requiredTeam-oriented mindset with strong communication and leadership skillsExperience in SOX compliance and working with shared service centersHands-on and detail-oriented with a strategic mindsetFlexible mindset to handle new types of transactions
