Title: Accounting Manager (International)
Location: Belfast (Hybrid) / Open for other Thales UK locations.
Contract: This is a secondment role for a duration of 12 – 15 months.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join the Imperva international finance team in Belfast. This role focuses on managing the financial activities of Imperva Inc., the primary trading entity of the Imperva group. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this position is a key leader & crucial in leading the financial strategy and operations within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Manage the maintenance of accounting records for Imperva Inc using NetSuite
Perform monthly closing tasks, including booking, reconciling, and clearing complex general ledger accounts.
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the books.
Assist the international entities General Ledger Manager in hard close procedures on NetSuite (Consolidated department reclasses, Interco FX elimination journal entries on WD3).
Oversee US entity reporting on DMT/Magnitude (group reporting tools).
Handle accounting for transactions with multiple international entities and currencies.
Reporting and Analysis:
Identify and appropriately manage risks and opportunities in Balance Sheet items.
Be involved in preparing audit timelines and supporting audits.
Review weekly cash forecasting for US entities.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
Propose and implement system modifications to maintain compliance with changing legal and regulatory requirements.
Take proactive actions to improve the accounting process, including enhancing the quality and consistency of balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with Thales group accounting policies.
Project Management:
Manage the continuing integration of the entities into Thales, including the legal entity simplification project.
Play a leading role in the ERP migration project, moving from NetSuite to Oracle.
Engage and collaborate regularly with other departments and across different regions, for other projects as part of the overall Imperva integration into Thales.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and develop a team of four: Senior GL Accountant, two GL Accountants, and a Payroll Accountant.
Mentor and develop team members, providing training, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
Set clear objectives and goals for the team and monitor their performance against these targets.
Qualifications and experience:
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), with at least three years post-qualified experience demonstrating progression into senior accounting roles.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, ideally within an international organization.
Proficiency with NetSuite and Oracle is preferred, as well as strong Excel skills.
