Accounting Manager – Technical Accounting

Position Summary: The Manager of Technical Accounting will be responsible for providing guidance globally on technical accounting matters, including new accounting standards, significant transactions (including M&A), and other recurring complex accounting areas. This individual will also support our financial reporting compliance efforts, including reviewing our quarterly and annual financial statements. This individual must be an effective communicator and project manager and be able to document conclusions in a clear and concise manner. The individual will work closely with the entire global finance group, as well as other functional departments (HR, Legal, Treasury, Tax, etc.).

Work Location: This role requires a hybrid onsite work presence in either Philadelphia, PA or Glen Mills, PA and is not eligible for relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of new accounting standards.Provide US GAAP technical guidance globally on an ad-hoc basis with a focus on revenue recognition, capital expenditures, leasing and derivatives.Draft or review technical white papers to address accounting issues.Enhance technical accounting policies for our global organization.Resolve accounting matters with external auditors.Lead the accounting for acquisitions and divestitures and other significant transactions as they arise.Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements.Support the internal control environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.4-5 years of experience, with public accounting and industry experience preferred.CPA preferred.Strong technical accounting skills and experiences.Extensive experience with Financial Statements and SEC Reporting.Experience with business combination accounting.Experience with process/controls documentation.SAP and HFM experience helpful.Experience in consolidation accounting helpful.Demonstrated ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
