Job Title: Accounting Consultant
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Consultant to oversee financial reporting, manage accounting staff, and ensure the accuracy
and integrity of financial data across multiple business divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead the divisional accounting teams Review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policiesOversee monthly account close process for assigned divisionsReview monthly account reconciliations to ensure proper supporting documentation and timely completionManage and review client contracts, including calculation of rates, deductions, and revenue recognitionProvide accurate and timely financial reporting by strategic business divisionLead the preparation and management of annual budgets and semi-annual forecastsAnalyze and report budget vs. actual results, identifying variances and providing actionable insightsCoordinate with the Controller on year-end audit activities, including preparation of schedules and balance sheet reviewsEnsure all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and supportedProvide leadership, mentorship, and support to accounting staff, resolving issues and improving processesQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)Preferred: 4+ years of management experience OR a combination of: 3–4 years in public accounting plus 2+ years in an industry management roleStrong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reportingExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisProven ability to manage and develop a teamExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyJob Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
