Beacon Hill is staffing for several Accounting Consultant roles in the Philadelphia and the New Jersey areas. These positions sit onsite or hybrid and usually range anywhere from $25-40 an hour.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with GAAPPerform account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end / year-end close activitiesAnalyze financial statements and provide variance explanationsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingSupport internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standardsWork cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to resolve discrepanciesPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external auditsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and assist with system enhancementsMaintain accurate and organized financial records

Qualifications

Experience as a Staff, Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, AP, or AR Specialist or a similar accounting role.Understanding of GAAP and general accounting processesProficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and ability to work with financial data setsExcellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams
