2+ years of experience in an accounting-related role (Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable).1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Products.Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.High School Diploma or GED.

Job Description

The Accounting Clerk role supports the Accounting and Finance department by maintaining accurate customer receivables accounts and reporting data as requested. The Accounting Clerk posts and applies cash received, assists with invoicing when needed, performs collections on past due accounts, processes credits, and assists with audit requests. This role will have frequent interactions with customers and department leadership.

Responsibilities

Manage deliverables and ensure timely completion for the department.Assist with cash applications and bank deposits.Provide customer account reconciliations as requested.Assist with processing invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing.Assist with processing credits in a timely manner.Assist with collections and customer account requests as needed.Assist with providing audit requests.Manage unapplied documents and maintain a 30-day and below timeframe.Ensure accurate customer payment application and payment details, including paying within terms and taking appropriate discounts or rebates.Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
