Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will support financial and administrative operations while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. This position requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing financial records and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and mail handling to maintain organized records.
• Assist senior accounting staff with daily financial activities, including account reconciliation and invoice processing.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Handle AR collections and communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve outstanding balances.
• Prepare and modify financial documents, including reports, memos, and correspondence, to support management needs.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by ensuring accurate data entry and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with logistics and trade operations teams to maintain workflow and address operational needs.
• Generate ad hoc accounting reports for internal stakeholders and ensure the accuracy of data presented.
• Liaise with international teams to manage requests and relay information efficiently.
• Provide backup support in logistics and trade operations when necessary. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a detail-oriented environment.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, logistics, or administrative roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP.
• Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.
• Experience in data entry and financial record management.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports with accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and invoice management.
