The Accounting Clerk II Provides invoicing, billing and accounting for Freight Services averaged by 3910 shipments per month. Verify invoices and prepare SF 1034s in a format approved by the ITO for each carrier. Convert collect freight bill, express receipts, and other billing documents to an ebill when the commercial documents meet the criteria established in DOD 4500.9-R, Part II. Prepares Freight cost estimates for customers when necessary.
Responsibilities
Provides invoices, billing and accounting for Freight Services shipments monthly.Review Statements for SYNCADA and submit to government certifying officer.Approve Freight bills express receipts, and other billing documents to an E-bill when the commercial documents meet the criteria established in DOD 4500.9-R, Part II.Prepares freight cost estimates for customers when necessary. Meets all invoicing and billing established timelines.Maintains daily reports and filing system.Utilize CMOS/Fedex/Syncada Systems.Will be cross trained for Material Coordinator duties of shipping & receiving.Customer service, answer telephones, provide advice, guidance and information as appropriate. Assisting in warehouse operations during peak periods as required, including receiving, and shipping in CRP dock coverage.Posting actions to journals, identifying subsidiary accounts affected, making debit and credit entries, and assigning proper codes. Review computer printouts against manually maintained journals, detect and correct erroneous postings, and prepare documents to adjust accounting classifications and other data, or review lists of transactions rejected by an automated system. Will determine reasons for rejections, and prepare necessary correcting material.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two (2) years data entry experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Suite.Knowledge of a PC in a Windows environment. Global Combat Sustainment System – Army (GCSS-A) certification Preferred.Ability to become GCSS-A CertifiedAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
