Accounting Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The role involves managing a variety of accounting tasks including posting checks, processing ACH payments, and assisting with collections. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a strong understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes.

Responsibilities

Post checks and ACH payments accurately.Make collections calls to ensure timely payments.Write and process renewal leases as they come in.Adjust accounts as necessary to ensure accuracy.Address issues received via phone calls promptly.Prepare renewal lease forms for expiring leases.Request and assign purchase order numbers for rentals that require them.Assist the Purchasing department with price changes.Enter purchase order numbers into the system.Help balance accounts receivable.Track cylinder deposits effectively.Perform other job duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.Strong accounting skills with experience in collections and data entry.Ability to perform reconciliation tasks with high attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in accounts receivable and/or payable is preferred.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment where attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. The position involves regular interaction with customers and requires effective communication skills. There is a need to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently, ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
