Description
Sara Walker with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon. In this role, you will handle a variety of essential accounting functions, including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and timely processing of transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a proactive approach to managing fiscal responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Process invoices and manage accounts payable activities, including obtaining necessary approvals and entering data into Sage 100.
• Conduct weekly healthcare claims payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
• Generate monthly invoices and corresponding billing reports, maintaining organized records of claims histories.
• Handle cash deposits and other receipts, including customer and provider payments, by accurately recording transactions in Sage 100.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly accounts receivable aging reports, ensuring timely collection of payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the sales team to follow up on overdue accounts and assist with collection efforts.
• Perform reconciliation of trust accounts and accounts receivable, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
• Process system refunds and internal refunds using Sage 100, maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes, assisting with journal entries and subsidiary ledger updates.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Experience with invoice processing and billing procedures.
• Familiarity with Sage 100 or similar accounting software.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
