Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk will provide essential support to the accounting department, handling a variety of tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments either electronically or by check. • Prepare and complete deposit slips, make bank deposits, and maintain accurate documentation. • Review invoices for proper authorization and supporting documentation before processing payments. • Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and brokerage accounts to ensure accuracy. • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, copying, and maintaining electronic records. • Conduct vendor research and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project-based tasks. • Print checks, obtain necessary signatures, and handle mailing processes. • Uphold high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment with accounting exposure. • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat. • Basic understanding of accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus. • Strong data entry skills and ability to maintain detailed records. • Comfortable handling a high volume of work while meeting deadlines. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • High school diploma or equivalent required.
