Job Description
The Accounting Associate role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller and collaborating closely with sales leadership and staff, this position provides valuable cross-functional exposure across the organization. The role focuses on core accounting activities and financial analysis, with a particular emphasis on supporting an Accounts Receivable initiative to collect past due customer balances. Responsibilities
Support the Accounts Receivable initiative by actively assisting in the collection of past due balances from customers.Collaborate with the Controller on day-to-day accounting activities and financial analysis tasks.Work closely with Sales Managers and sales staff to ensure accurate and timely financial information related to customer accounts.Assist with general ledger accounting, including posting entries and supporting reconciliation processes.Prepare and maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation to support accounting and audit requirements.Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create reports, and support financial decision-making.Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization in handling multiple accounting tasks and deadlines.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and procedures.Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support business operations.Participate actively in a collaborative in-office environment, supporting both finance and cross-functional initiatives.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a strong preference for a concentration in Accounting, Business, or Finance.Understanding of general ledger accounting principles and reconciliation processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets and analyze financial data.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills in managing financial information.Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with in-office teams.Demonstrated interest in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis.Additional Skills & Qualifications
NetSuite experience strongly preferred and considered a significant advantage.Experience or coursework related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.Ability to thrive in a high-performance culture focused on accountability, empowerment, quality, and continuous improvement.Motivation to gain hands-on experience and grow within a dynamic and expanding business environment.Work Environment
The role is based in a fun, collaborative in-office environment with a Monday through Friday schedule. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
