The Accounting Assistant will support our finance department with daily accounting tasks and administrative responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and looking to grow in an accounting or finance career path. This is a part-time, in-office Accounting Assistant position.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable processingRecord financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledgerMaintain and update accounting files and documentationGenerate reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries as neededReview invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper approvalsAssist with audits by preparing and providing required documentationPerform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entryEducation: High School
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or a related field preferredExperience: 12 months
1–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experienceSkills:
Basic knowledge of accounting principlesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and office softwareExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality with sensitive informationStrong communication skills and a customer-service mindsetRelated Experience: 1–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience, Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar), Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation procedures, Ability to work independently and in a team environment, Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
