Accounting Assistant III
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant III to join our team in Salinas, California. As part of the Grower Accounting Department, you will play a key role in managing financial data, supporting administrative accounting tasks, and ensuring records are accurate and compliant. This is a Contract position in the manufacturing industry, offering an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Input and reconcile grower-related financial data with precision to maintain accurate records. • Prepare and review payment documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. • Assist in generating financial reports and preparing materials for audits. • Use advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as pivot tables and complex formulas, to analyze large datasets. • Develop and maintain comprehensive tracking spreadsheets for grower accounts and reporting purposes. • Manage data entry and updates within the company’s accounting system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth financial transactions. • Support the training of team members on system updates and troubleshoot technical issues when necessary. • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. • Ensure all financial practices align with regulatory requirements and company policies. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing, agricultural, or supply chain environment. • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, and complex functions. • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial systems. • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with stakeholders. • Capacity to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities. • A degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred but not required.
