Accounting Assistant (Entry Level)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to support our finance team on a contract basis. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with foundational accounts payable experience who is comfortable working with invoices, data, and vendors, and who takes pride in accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
+ Perform invoice matching against purchase orders and receiving documentation
+ Enter invoice and payment data into accounting systems
+ Sort, organize, and maintain accounts payable records and files
+ Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, discrepancies, and payment inquiries
+ Assist with vendor maintenance and updates to vendor records
+ Support sales tax coding and compliance as needed
+ Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks within Microsoft Office
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
+ Basic accounts payable or accounting experience
+ Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
+ Excellent organizational and data management skills
+ Ability to match, sort, and reconcile financial data
+ Comfortable with repetitive and deadline-driven tasks
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
