Job Description
This position requires an individual who will be responsible for the research and resolution of deduction disputes involving vendors and clients. The successful candidate will determine the validity of disputed charges, resolve issues, and disseminate funds as warranted. The role involves constant interaction with vendors and various departments.
Responsibilities
Review and research documentation relating to vendor correspondence to determine repayment or denial using multiple systems.Communicate with internal departments to secure the appropriate approval when needed.Code repayments to the appropriate general ledger account.Work and follow-up on assigned cases through ServiceNow.Monitor and review inactive and active case email alerts.Essential Skills
Accounts payable and reconciliation experience.Prior office or professional experience, with accounting experience preferred.Experience with ERP or other systems, excluding Excel.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PeopleSoft.A high school diploma is required.Ability to use 10-key and keyboard by touch.Ability to work in a team environment and in an organized manner.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Accounting, Finance, or Business degree preferred.Experience with accounts receivable.2 years of accounting experience and/or experience with balances preferred.Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and work independently.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think outside the box.Professional and customer service-focused skills.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of KANSAS CITY, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
