We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. This role involves key responsibilities such as:

Fixed-term 6-month role, hourly rate + benefits
Responsibilities Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Receivables, Invoicing and posting General Leger transactions.Maintain supporting schedule prepaid expenses reconciliation (CAD & USD)Review AR (invoices and collections); process AP (vendor invoices & POs)Verify invoice accuracy; manage collections and vendor setup; Support Vendor / Customer queriesPost recurring entries: depreciation and amortization, bonuses, payroll, and expense reportsReconcile bank accountsPrepare and review monthly deliverables including trial balance, EBITDA, and other standard month-end reports.Prepare and review monthly and quarterly compliance deliverables, including Prepare and remit GST / HST / QST tax filings, Preparing and posting Federal & Provincial tax paymentsSupport Management with month end support.Process CAPEX-related POs and expenses in D365 F&OSupport audits, tax requests and integration Skills / Qualifications Demonstrated experience in full-cycle accounting within a service orientated environmentSolid understanding of Canadian accounting practicesProficient in handling GST/HST/QST for Ontario and QuebecStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) is a significant assetExcellent communication skills and keen attention to detailPositive attitude with a collaborate, team focused mindset
