Dewey Ford, a Ken Garff Automotive company, is currently looking for a talented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team in processing daily operational transactions and various other aspects of the automotive accounting field. This position will office in the Centralized Accounting Office in Clive, IA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Prepare accounting entries and reconcile general ledgerEnsure timely processing of any check payments and/or ACH transactionsResearch and process cancellations & chargebacksReconcile & audit all product cancellation schedules & processesPost vehicle deals with related financial products, clear related financial schedules, and communicate with staff as neededProcess financial product invoices and reconcile associated financial schedulesProcess other vehicle related invoices from manufacturer and parent companyMaintain an organized processing systemAssist with performing accounts payable and accounts receivable dutiesOccasional filing and other general administrative duties as needed  

Here’s what you’ll need:

Minimum of 1 or 2 years of accounting experienceHigh school diploma or the equivalent, with associate’s degree in accounting or 2 years of commensurate dealership accounting experienceDealership accounting experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office software products, particularly Excel, and the general use of a computer and calculatorKnowledge of accounting software and dealership software a plusStrong numeracy, analytical, time management, verbal, and technology skillsMust have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
