Accounting Assistant – Entry Level or Experienced
Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site during contract; hybrid once permanent)
We’ve partnered with one of the largest privately held companies in Kansas City to find qualified or entry-level candidates for an Accounting Assistant position.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a 60-person accounting team, offering strong potential for growth and internal promotion. During the contract phase, the role is fully on-site. Once converted to a permanent employee, the schedule shifts to a hybrid model—with Mondays and Fridays remote, and Tuesdays through Thursdays in the office.

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for researching and resolving short and long-term promotional deals per the division aging report. Your role will involve performing aging analysis at the beginning of each new period to identify deals with large dollar losses, ensuring funds are recovered promptly. You will prepare weekly and period balancing schedules to ensure financial data reported on the Trade Funds report is accurate and current. Additionally, you will research vendor repay requests on previously reconciled deals to assist in dispute resolution. You will play a key role in the period-end close process to ensure reconciled deals are removed from the aging report. Moreover, you will provide support and feedback to department management regarding deal reconciliation issues and work specific deals identified by management needing attention.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
