This is an exempt level position.
Position Summary:
Analysts at ADM have proven ability to think and work independently. They possess the ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and regularly propose solutions to problems. Analysts are expected to independently manage projects of increasing complexity and have a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes. They must demonstrate a high level of self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas, as applicable. They should be considered an expert in assigned areas and have demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion. Analysts have no direct supervisory responsibilities but do serve as a coach and mentor for those in the Accountant and Clerk roles.
Job Responsibilities:Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysisWork with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial resultsPrepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedulesPerform quarterly analysis and reportingWork independently with little supervisor interventionEngage proactively in the implementation of process changeComplete duties that may include performing and reporting the results of plant accounting for more complex and material locations and PLs Assigned responsibilities that require advanced analytic skills and increased partnering with internal customers Required Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience designing queries and reports within financial systemsKnowledge of internal controls, governance, and compliance principlesStrong financial analysis capabilities and understanding of operational impactsEducation Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accountingRequired Experience:3+ years of accounting experienceExperience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plusExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
