Accounting Analyst / Clerk - Signia by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Signia by Hilton Orlando and the adjacent, Waldorf Astoria Orlando, an Official Walt Disney World® Hotels are searching for an Accounting Analyst/Clerk to join their Finance team! Between the 2 properties combined, there are over 1,500 rooms, 12 restaurants and lounges and over 350,000 sq. feet of meeting and event space.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, with a desire to grow within the Finance department. We are looking for Excel knowledge, preferably hospitality experience - Finance, Front Office or Food and Beverage experience and great communication skills.  This position will be heavily focused on customer service, groups billing, credit checks, etc. 

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:30PM with occasional weekends, and holidays availability when needed.

Pay Rate: $21.05 per hour

What will I be doing?

The Analyst / Clerk of Accounting will perform activities to support the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions. The Analyst/Clerk will participate in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. In addition to performance, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Perform applicable retained Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functionsRespond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitabilityCollaborate with SSCs and service provider, as well as partner with SSC to resolve disputesParticipate in the production of monthly accounts as directedComplete month-end responsibilitiesExecute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotelParticipate in special projects, team training and developmentPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requiredReports results to others and aids others to understand financial mattersDevelops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they supportCollaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goalsAttends staff meetings pertinent to work assignmentsResearches and responds to information requests from internal departments and managementAct in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property and follow the correct procedures when required
