Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team in Fishkill, New York. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with various teams and contribute to strategic financial planning. Responsibilities: • Analyze financial data to detect trends, variances, and areas for improvement. • Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements to ensure compliance with established accounting principles. • Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making. • Monitor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management. • Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes. • Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems and dashboards for internal use. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and generate reports to address specific business needs. • Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including preparation of corporate tax returns and sales tax filings. • Record and review journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, demonstrating attention to detail. • Proficiency in accounting standards and financial reporting practices. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and Power Query. • Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders. • Experience in corporate accounting or finance; certifications like CPA or CMA are a plus.
