Accounting & Administrative Manager
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting & Administrative Manager to oversee financial operations and human resource functions for our organization in Salinas, California. This position will play a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nonprofit accounting, payroll management, financial planning, and QuickBooks Online. Responsibilities: • Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making for the Executive Director and Board of Directors. • Monitor cash flow and financial trends, recommending strategies to strengthen financial reserves. • Maintain and enforce robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance. • Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. • Manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including dashboards and budget-to-actual analyses. • Lead the development of the annual organizational budget and provide rolling forecasts. • Track and report on grant budgets, ensuring proper allocation of funds and compliance with funder requirements. • Oversee human resource functions, including payroll and employee relations, while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to regulations. • Collaborate with leadership to align HR and financial policies with organizational goals. Posted by Staffing Director Scott Moore Requirements • Proven experience in nonprofit accounting and financial management. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and certification as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor is preferred. • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and compliance requirements. • Expertise in preparing financial statements, audits, and grant-specific reporting. • Advanced skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures, including labor relations. • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and city regulations accurately. • Excellent communication and analytical skills to provide actionable financial insights.
