Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is part of Circle K's Global Finance organization and is responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations.

Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player to join our team as:

Accountant with French language skills in Store Accounting Team for Luxembourg Business Unit 

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reconcile station-related balance sheet accounts, including cash, lotteries, convenience stock, road tolls, and other items;

Clear daily transactions and promptly address any errors in collaboration with site managers based in Luxembourg;

Respond to queries from site managers, business unit representatives, and external partners as needed;

Review, prepare, and process journal entries based on information received from business unit and other partners;

Provide support by answering questions from other company departments regarding processed financial records;

Execute month-end closing procedures, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors;

Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience within accounting for at least 1-2 years;

Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or a last year student within this area; 

Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with colleagues in Europe;

Fluent in French (both verbal and written, at least C1 level) to communicate with BU Luxembourg; 

German language skills will be considered as advantage;

Experience with ERP (SAP, JDE experience will be considered as an advantage); 

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; 

Precise, analytical, organized, solution oriented and stress resistant personality;

Self-motivated, positive, good team player.
