Position Description
Perform inventory and revenue accounting functions for the Transmix plants under the Products Pipeline Segment.Perform monthly close procedures including accrual analysis, journal entry preparation, and variance analysis.Assist in the preparation of bi-weekly margin and inventory forecast by gathering information from scheduling and business development groups to update pertinent financial models.Work closely with the scheduling department as it relates to pipeline and product purchase invoices by reviewing for accuracy and then processing wire payments.Generate automated and manual monthly revenue invoices for sales plants and processing plants.Clear and resolve supplier and customer accounts receivable issues on a timely basis.Contract analysis for new/amended purchase or revenue contracts.Maintain SOX compliance as it relates to recorded revenues and approved supporting documentation.Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in Blackline as assigned by Supervisor.Perform additional Ad Hoc duties as assigned by Accounting Supervisor/Manager.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited universityCPA preferred5-7 years of accounting or finance related work experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and ExcelMust be detail-oriented, highly organized and self-motivatedAble to complete work in a prioritized and organized mannerMust be able to successfully perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and often with strict deadlines, while maintaining a high quality of work productAbility to work overtime during high volume periods, including but not limited to month/quarter/year end closeMust possess and demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities at all levels, internally and externallyStrong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with ability to solve complex problems through solution-oriented analysisCapable of working and completing work with minimal direct supervisionMust pass a Kinder Morgan drug screen and background check
