Join our team and start your journey today! If you are a **Senior Accountant** looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our **Santiago, Chile** location, you will be a fundamental part of our Finance department, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of our accounting operations. You will support the Controller by improving daily procedures and identifying internal control weaknesses. If you are a highly organized and analytical person with a strong understanding of Chilean accounting standards (IFRS) and a passion for continuous improvement, this is the role for you! **AS A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL:** + Oversee the accuracy and completeness of key balance sheet areas, including Inventory, Advances & Prepaids, Accounts Payable (supplier and intercompany), and accrued liabilities related to payroll and taxes. + Prepare and/or review detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations. + Instruct and collaborate with the Shared Service Center on manual journal entries, providing necessary follow-up and analysis. + Participate in all month-end closing processes and support the generation of financial reports. + Support the Controller by identifying process improvements, standardization opportunities, and internal control weaknesses. + Manage the tracking and payment of payroll-related obligations (taxes, ISAPREs, AFP) and the settlement of sales tax (IVA) and other related taxes. + Contribute to logistics process improvements and assist with tracking financial requisitions and purchase orders. **SCHEDULE:** This position follows standard business hours. **REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:** + Bachelor's degree in accounting, Auditing (Contador Auditor), or a related field. + **2 to 4 years of experience** in accounting roles, ideally in medium-to-large companies or audit firms. + Strong knowledge of Chilean accounting standards and IFRS. + Good understanding of basic Chilean tax regulations (IVA, deferred taxes, etc.). + Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Softland, etc.). + Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Fluency in Spanish; professional proficiency in English is highly desirable. **PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:** + Experience working with a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment. + Experience in a multinational corporation. **Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:** This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in the office at least three days per week.
