Accountant - Senior

Your role in a nutshell:

 

To perform assigned accounting and control transaction processing responsibilities in accordance with defined operating procedures. To maintain accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, fixed asset, intercompany and chart of accounting records, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

• Is a senior professional who workswith great independence and has proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Has a good knowledge of the organization's existing systems and processes.
• As requested, prepares appropriate commentary or explanations relating to report items of particular interest or significance; uses judgment as to what is of interest.
• Conducts any pertinent investigation of the accounts involved. Contacts colleagues in other departments for the purpose of supplying or explaining data, securing information or describing additional data which could be made available.
• Gives advice on accounting matters, based on well-established principles and practices.
• Exercises control over processes in own area. Participates in process improvement.
• Produces reports to the local and corporate management.
• Provides professional guidance to and mentors more junior colleagues, participates in their induction.
• Shares best practices.
• Supports the preparation for internal and external audit

• finance/ accounting experience
• fluent English
• fluent in the language of the supported local market
• local GAAP knowledge
• experience in a multinational environment
• project management experience
• telecom industry and SSC experience (desired)
• computer skills (advanced MS Excel knowledge)
• SAP experience/knowledge
