Salary: $40,000 - 50,000 USD annually

Position Summary:
We're looking for a highly organized and proactive Accountant to take full ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on, foundational role where you’ll manage core accounting functions, support compliance, and ensure our books are clean and up to date. You’ll work closely with the executive team and play a key part in keeping our two growing companies running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role is ideal for someone with strong U.S. accounting experience who thrives working independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial work.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Bookkeeping
Own and manage day-to-day accounting for both companiesMaintain accurate general ledger and chart of accountsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statementsManage Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableProcess employee reimbursements and vendor paymentsMonth-End & Reporting
Prepare monthly financial reports for the leadership teamAssist with budgeting and expense trackingSupport cash flow monitoring and forecastsMaintain organized documentation of financial recordsTax & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings (including state, federal, and franchise taxes)Maintain compliance with IRS and state-level reporting requirementsLiaise with external CPA or legal advisors as needed for audits or filingsTrack and renew necessary business registrations and licensesProcess Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and internal controlsHelp integrate and optimize tools such as QuickBooks, ADP, or Connecteam (if applicable)Support implementation of any future finance-related tools or techOrganizational Improvement Initiative (First 6–12 Months):
In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the successful candidate will dedicate the first 3–6 months to conducting a thorough observation and analysis of current organizational processes and departmental efficiencies. This will include preparing a detailed report with recommendations for improvements and presenting it to the board. Upon approval, the candidate will lead the implementation of approved changes over the subsequent 3–6 months, overseeing departmental reorganizations and driving process enhancements to support long-term operational effectiveness.
