An opportunity has arisen within our accounting team for a dynamic and driven Accounting Professional to join as an Accounting Lead.
This position requires a flexible professional, who can drive change, identify, and resolve issues, is a problem solver and is able to work with multiple stakeholders.
The Lead Accountant will support branch accounting operations while using advanced problem-solving skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship building skills, as well as strong leadership and team management skills. This position will have supervisory responsibilities for general accounting functions.
In the Role:
· Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members through on-going coaching and development to retain talent
· Manage and/or participate in company projects and initiatives
· Provide accounting oversight of daily banking activity and month end financial reporting
· Analyze and review journal entries and reconciliations
· Assist with requests from internal and external auditors
· Conduct detailed research and analysis
· Handle Coordination and Collaboration with technology and treasury partners
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 5+ years of accounting experience
· 2+ years of supervisory experience
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
· Experience with Automated reconciliation systems such as Blackline or Frontier preferred
· Flexibility to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
· Excellent communication skills
· The ability to work independently and yet collaboratively to positively affect the team dynamics
Location: Irving, Texas – Hybrid Tues-Thurs in office
