Position Summary - Accountant III
The Accountant III is responsible for performing senior level accountant management reporting and financial tasks for Dignity Health entities migrated to Lawson. The position works in a cooperative team environment to provide value to internal and external customers.
This position contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of the general ledger policies and procedures. This includes general ledger journal entries, account reconciliation, account analyses, and financial reporting.
The Accountant III continually seeks to understand and act upon customer needs, concerns, and priorities. Meets customer expectations and requirements, and gains customer trust and respect. This position works with the General Accounting Manager to receive feedback on performance, and create and manage a personal developmental plan.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required.Post graduate degree, CPA or hospital operations experience strongly preferred.Six plus years experience accounting experience.Experience with and knowledge of current general ledger applications in a healthcare environment, or Lawson experience required.Experience with providing visible sponsorship and guidance of major change initiatives preferred.Self directed and requires minimal supervision.Leadership skills/some supervisory experience required.Able to handle a broad scope of responsibility, utilizing independent problem solving skills.Where You'll WorkInspired by faith.
