Accountant II or III - Temp to Perm - Full Time - Days

This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for the preparation of monthly general ledger closings entries and consolidations for operating entities\/ locations in accordance with company policies and procedures; including general ledger account analysis, requiring full understanding of flow between P&L and balance sheets. The ideal candidate will bring a working understanding of the monthly close and account reconciliation process to align with US GAAP standards\n

Job Responsibilities:\n\nPrepare monthly general ledger closings and consolidations for operating entities\/ locations in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nGeneral ledger monthly tasks completion: AP activity review, accruals, payroll posting, bank activity posting and reconciliations, and respective reconciliations (debt, revenue, etc)\nMaintain general ledger account analysis and recording of journal entries\/account mapping Coordinate capital spending process\/reporting and maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger.\nCoordinate \/ apply inventory recognition process Coordinate and participate in internal\/external financial reviews and audits.\nPrepare\/assist with other management\/financial reporting, as necessary.\nAssist with the integration of business development and growth activities onto Spire's financial platforms.\nDocument and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations and external auditors, to ensure seamless reporting processes.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\nCPA designation or progress toward certification - strongly preferred\n2 - 4 years experience in accounting and month end Background with a public accounting firm (a plus but not required).\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in accounting software and tools; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.\n
