EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: Accountant I Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, auditing, business law or a closely related field, AND Experience: at least one year of work experience in professional accounting and fiscal control work or through five years of progressively responsible financial or fiscal control work in a school district, county office of education, or related public agency Accountant II Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, auditing, business law or a closely related field, AND Experience: two years as an Accountant I with the Santa Clara County Office of Education or at least three years of equivalent work experience in professional accounting and fiscal control work. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid California driver's license May require: Possession of or ability to obtain certification or its equivalent as a Certified Public Accountant as issued by the State of California.

Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for the week of September 29, 2025. Second interviews may be held in-person.
