Itochu Building Products (IBP) Holdings has an immediate need for an Accountant I to work at the Dallas, TX headquarters.
Comprised of three subsidiary companies (Master Halco, Alta Forest Products, and US Premier Tube Mills), Itochu Building Products is the largest leading manufacturer and wholesale distributor of fencing products in North America.
Position Summary
The Accountant I will be an integral part of our Finance shared services team. The role applies generally accepted accounting principles, maintain accurate financial records, performs complex reconciliations, contributes to financial reporting, and assists with audits and system improvements.

Prepares, reviews, and processes journal entries, vouchers, and other financial transactionsMaintains general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of accountsPosts and balances financial and accounting documents and recordsPerforms complex account reconciliationsResearch and resolve discrepancies in accountsPrepares monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules and reportsCompiles and analyzes financial information for internal management and external complianceProvides supporting documentation and information for taxes and auditsParticipates in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing of financial systemsEnsures compliance with JSOX defined processes, procedures and controlsPerforms other related duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field1-2 years of experience in an accounting roleRequired Skills / Abilities:
Hands-on experience with Infor M3 preferredAdvanced user of MS ExcelWork Environment: Office Environment
Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, stand, lift and/or move.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday 8 hours a day; at times more than 8 hours.
Travel: Minimal.
