Job Title: Financial AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant responsible for managing general journal entries, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing financial statements. This role also includes handling tax-related research and inquiries from regulatory agencies, along with implementing process improvements.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries.Compile supporting financial statements and documents.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.Upload consolidated financial statements into SAP.Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies.Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes.Analyze variances from budget to actual.Provide accounting-related support and communications between accounting and other departments.Implement process improvements.Prepare local property tax filings and coordinate property tax payments with Accounts Payable.Monitor changes to fixed assets and communicate with local taxing authorities regarding de-activations or new locations.Other duties as assigned.
Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.Experience with journal entries, reporting, and financial statement preparation.Strong reconciliation skills.Experience with large data sets.
Additional Skills & QualificationsIFRS knowledge is helpful.International cross-border transaction experience, including specific tax return (W8Ben), is preferred.Tax preparation experience.Experience with bookkeeping software such as Great Plains and SAP is preferred.Attention to detail.
Work Environment

The position offers a flexible work environment with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. During the monthly 3-day close, in-office attendance is required. Employees enjoy benefits such as a 401k match, health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as PTO and sick leave.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
