Job Title: Accountant III Job Responsibilities: + Collaborate with Accounting Management and support team members in monthly close and reporting processes + Prepare month-end close and ad hoc journal entries, calculations, analysis, and reporting for complex GAAP accounting transactions + Reconcile complex general ledger accounts, research variances, and resolve discrepancies + Analyze general ledger accounts to ensure proper accounting treatment and apply necessary monthly accrual adjustments + Prepare accounting records and reports in alignment with GAAP, best practices, and internal policies + Work independently and as a team resource; serve as a subject matter expert + Perform various accounts payable functions + Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including cash flow analysis + Conduct variance analysis comparing financial results to historical and expected figures + Create and prepare management reports; run ad hoc calculations and analysis as needed + Demonstrate advanced problem-solving and resolution skills + Support accounting projects; document and follow through on recommendations + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project initiatives and accounting matters + Assist with preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes, and external reporting + Contribute to budget, forecast, ALCO, and regulatory reporting processes + Participate in financial and operational audits and regulatory exams + Identify and implement continuous process improvements + Provide consistent and timely updates to manage expectations + Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Skills: + Accounting + Month-end close + Ad hoc reporting + GAAP accounting + General ledger reconciliation Top Skills: + Accounting + Month-end process + GAAP + General ledger Education: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Accounting emphasis) + CPA preferred Experience: + 5+ years of financial accounting experience or 2+ years of public accounting experience + Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting concepts Knowledge & Abilities: + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines + Strong initiative and ability to work independently or collaboratively + Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills + Strong written and verbal communication + Effective collaboration across departments and management levels + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience Level: Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr. 401KHealthDentalVision Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Lincoln,NE.
