Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description The David Rubenstein Forum is a University-wide facility for scholarly and academic discourse on campus. The venue supports and promotes inquiry, the open exchange of ideas, and the power of academic, interdisciplinary convening. The Forum is located at the intersection of East 60th Street and Woodlawn Avenue. It serves as a place where scholars gather and exchange ideas through activities that range from talks and workshops to multi-day conferences that span academic disciplines. The facility provides spaces and amenities that are not currently available on campus, including highly collaborative, well-appointed meeting and event rooms commensurate with the types of conferences, special events, workshops, and meetings that University faculty and academic departments host. The building has a sustainable design target of LEED Gold. Overview BASIC FUNCTION: The Staff Accountant will maintain accounting standards within established policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Accounts Receivable (A/R) Prepare A/R Invoices for Internal and External Clients Prepare and send monthly Member A/R invoices Process payments for A/R Collection of all A/R balances Research and respond to all A/R inquiries 2. Accounts Payable (A/P) Maintain and control vendor set up and supporting documentation Validate and Process A/P Invoices for payment Review vendor statements at month end Prepare monthly accruals for all outstanding A/P invoices Prepare and send monthly Member Accounts Receivable invoices Reconcile Craftable to A/P 3. Reconcile Cash and prepare deposits 4. Maintain and support internal controls MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Respond to any reasonable task assigned by the Director of Finance, Accounting Manager and/or General Manager Ensure effective solution-oriented communication within the department and with other operation departments Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE Four years’ experience in a hotel environment Exceptional organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with Maestro PMS Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $24.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
