**Job Description** BAE Systems is currently hiring an Accountant to join our team within Ordnance Systems supporting the Holston and Radford Army Ammunition Plant. + Provide support of accurate and timely payments to suppliers + Provide Accounts payable reporting and analysis for department + Analyzes and resolves discrepancies arising from invoicing or receiving issues + Process invoices and clear exceptions + Communicates professionally with other departments/management as well as with our vendors/suppliers + Adjust General Ledger transactions as needed through Journal Entries + Maintains productivity levels, accuracy + Supports the accounting department on reporting + Provides exceptional customer service both internally and externally + Compliant with procedures, GAAP, DCAA and DFARS + Maintains existing metrics and develops additional Accounts Payable metrics as needed **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor Degree with 1 years related experience + Proficient with numbers and strong attention to detail + General understanding of accounting, general ledger, or accounts payable functions + Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + MBA or CPA **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $45241 - $76910 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
