Accountant
One of the largest companies in Seattle is hiring!

The Accountant is responsible for overseeing key close processes, including journal entries, reconciliation reviews, and financial statement reviews. This position manages one team member and plays a vital role in the unique and complex pharmacy accounting processes, utilizing non-integrated systems and data.

Responsibilities

Oversee the work of one team member and manage key close processes.Review journal entries, reconciliation reviews, and financial statement reviews.Handle unique pharmacy accounting complexities with non-integrated systems.Identify and resolve data quality issues through internal controls and data analysis.Educate non-accountants about financial processes, data sources, controls, and systems.Lead process improvements and financial system integration initiatives.Own inventory accounting, including cycle accounting events, COGS, inventory reserves, and supplier rebates.Collaborate with inventory operations, financial operations, and finance stakeholders.Work on limited opex/capex/leasing entries.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Experience in performing month-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.Experience with fast-paced high-tech start-ups is advantageous.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.Proficiency in information technology.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Experience with Oracle and PeopleSoft systems.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite at the Unicorn building at Amazon HQ1 in South Lake Union. The work environment is dynamic, supporting a growing business in the pharmacy sector. The Accountant III will be part of a scaling team with exciting new business initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
