Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will analyze and manage customer data, assist in bi-weekly payroll preparation using Paylocity, and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations. You will prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and account reconciliations, support audits, and collaborate with corporate groups, auditors, and third-party administrators. You will also promote knowledge transfer within the department and suggest efficiency recommendations.
Responsibilities
Analyze and manage customer data.Assist in the bi-weekly payroll preparation using Paylocity.Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations.Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and account reconciliations.Support audits and collaborate with corporate groups, auditors, and TPAs.Promote knowledge transfer within the department and suggest efficiency recommendations.Perform and manage day-to-day accounts receivables duties.Update and manage Customer Cards.Provide 401K information to employees and communicate with TPA as needed.Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Summarize financial status, including preparation of financial statements such as P&L and balance sheet.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end audit processes.Liaise with internal stakeholders to complete assigned tasks.Process accounts payable when needed.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.3 years of previous accounting experience in a corporate setting.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), Word, and Outlook.Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically BC365.Understanding and application of advanced accounting principles.Ability to apply GAAP, state, and federal accounting laws.Strong communication skills and the ability to convey ideas logically.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Paylocity HRIS is preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Candidates fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.Typing test at 40 wpm and Excel test at 80%.Work Environment
This position requires working 100% onsite, 5 days a week in the office from Monday to Friday. The work hours are flexible, ranging from 9-5 pm, 8-4:30 pm, or 8:30-5 pm. The office space is cubicle-style, and the team consists of three people in the accounting department. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
