The Accountant is responsible for executing invoicing to our external franchise partners, as well as building strong relationships and rapport by providing high levels of service. They will also manage collection of payments from partners and work independently as well as with internal teams to resolve issues and provide timely feedback to partners. Develop an understanding of moderately complex business models. Perform accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, managerial reports, and financial statements. Position is responsible for accounting for our international business including the creation of monthly journal entries, financial reports and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Main point of contact for franchise partners regarding billing and collections

Research and resolve issues associated with billing & receivables on a timely basis

Identify areas of opportunity/weakness and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency in a controlled environment

Maintain high level of productivity

Follow up on all outstanding issues on a timely basis

Ensure adherence to departmental standards and controls

Comply with ethical and legal standards

Assist with special projects and departmental goals

Ensure that all month-end accounting is performed in a timely and accurate manner with a high level of attention to detail

Prepare manual journal entries to the general ledger

Prepare month end account reconciliations

Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a changing, fast paced team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent organization and follow-up skills

Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action

Advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint

SAP experience preferred

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
