Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team, executing and performing journal entries and account reconciliations for one or more business units. The role involves ensuring proper Fixed Asset management for the entire company, assisting auditors during annual audits with a strong emphasis on SOX compliance, and supporting month-end and year-end close practices. The ideal candidate will analyze and interpret financial data, streamline manual processes, and create efficient procedures.

ResponsibilitiesExecute and perform journal entries and account reconciliations for business units.Ensure proper Fixed Asset management across the company.Assist auditors during annual audits with a focus on SOX compliance.Support month-end and year-end close practices.Analyze and interpret financial data.Streamline and create efficient processes.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent.3-5 years of accounting experience.Experience with SOX and internal controls.Proficiency in AP/AR and preparing financial statements.Full close processes experience.Public company experience.GAAP knowledge.Experience with mid-large ERP systems.Intermediate Excel skills.Work Environment

This position is fully on-site in Venice, FL, in a family-oriented culture. The candidate will be the sole accounting person at this site, responsible for full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR, month-end close, and financial statements. The role requires identifying errors and resolving them efficiently. The candidate must prepare financial statements for the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
