Purpose of the position
As an Accountant at Hiab, you’ll take ownership of core accounting activities such as month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting. You’ll support end-to-end accounting processes, collaborate with teams across ITC, ITP, and HR, and ensure compliance with internal controls and standards. Acting as a key point of contact for selected countries or processes, your expertise will help our global operations running smoothly.

Responsible for support accounting services for selected processes and countries, which include accounting for and coordination of month-end general ledger close, prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Provide support for roles in the area of Record-to Report. Acts as primary point of contact for selected partners and/or processes. Responsible for financial reporting operational activities. Participate in process improvement projects. Participate/lead cross trainings of junior associates and new team members. Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner. Follow internal control procedures and all accounting policies in accordance with CAS and internal control framework. Deliver error free process. Building supportive relationships with peers and colleagues. The role has controlling and reporting responsibilities over all processes in the end-to-end accounting: ITC, ITP, HR activities, and how they are reflected and accounted for in the books. The role executes ongoing control over the accounting activities in the respective ledger, for which it is responsible. What you’ll need to succeed
Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics.Experience
2-4 years of relevant experience in finance operations.Competencies
Experience with simple to complex query handling. Good MS-office skills, ERP knowledge. Process knowledge on RTR. Strong team player. Problem solving attitude. To demonstrate analytical skills.
