Accountant Job Description We are seeking an experienced accountant to participate in all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end close processes. This position involves financial reporting utilizing Sage Intacct, Excel, and SQL, managing bank transactions, cashflow reporting, and treasury-related functions. You will also collaborate with operational leaders and the executive team on various projects, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles and evaluating best practices for process improvements. Responsibilities + Participate in all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end close process. + Utilize Sage Intacct, Excel, and SQL for financial reporting and reconcile account balances. + Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly management of bank transactions and cashflow reporting. + Monitor and manage daily cash balances to ensure sufficient funds for operations. + Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity. + Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts for short-term and long-term planning. + Oversee the timely and accurate execution of all treasury transactions. + Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies. + Manage inventory counts and analyze book to actual inventory differences. + Analyze and lead monthly review of financial results for various geographical areas. + Serve as a Regional Accounting Lead to provide accounting support for day-to-day transactions. + Collaborate with operational leaders and the executive team on various projects. + Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls. + Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and all relevant regulations. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. + Minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate or public accounting. + In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables. + Experience with an ERP or accounting system. + Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with ASC 842 Accounting Lease Standard preferred. + Supervisory experience and natural leadership qualities. + Experience with inventory and accrual accounting, sales/use, and excise taxes preferred. + Problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills. + Reliability, honesty, integrity, and exceptional communication skills. + Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also collaborating with others. + Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize time management. + Familiarity with tech-enabled tools is a plus. Work Environment The work environment consists of a treasury side, where you will work as a Staff Accountant/ Senior Accountant. Initially, the role requires 100% onsite attendance during training and probation. Once direct, you can enjoy a hybrid schedule with two days at home and three days in the office. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible options from 7 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.
