What You Will Achieve

As an accountant, your job focus is crucial for achieving task and project objectives. Your expertise in accounting will be instrumental in preparing financial reports, managing accounts, and overseeing the company's financial records. You'll prepare key documents and update financial transaction records, ensuring their accuracy, and generate reviews and reports from this data.

Role Responsibilities

Works of own initiative with guidance and support from Management and more senior colleagues.Organizes own workload, prioritizes, and proactively follows up on outstanding items.Knowledge of Key Inventory processes to support any automation and process improvement initiative.Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policy, US GAAP and local GAAP accounting.Maintain elements of domestic and/or international general ledgers including the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.Work independently with other departments / international locations to research, analyze and resolve inventory irregularities and discrepancies.Maintain and develop relationships with groups serviced by GBS as well as within GBS.Prepare financial and accounting analysis completely and accurately for external accountants and Corporate Audit.Participate on weekly/monthly calls with Finance Directors, Commercial Finance and key stakeholders to share results and KPIs.Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation.Takes initiative in identifying processes and initiatives that fits into our Digital Finance strategy.Has strong analytical and process management skills.Actively supports our GA value proposition by keeping processes aligned with our delivery model and global standard, adhering to our internal controls structures and help identifying process improvement opportunities.Supports and co-leads select in-house processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and stakeholder collaborations.Demonstrates business acumen and be able to apply market specific knowledge in Business Partner and Customer interactions.Effectively collaborates with stakeholders and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, including different departments, cultures, business units and countries.Ensure the timely and proper execution of adequate internal controls, understanding our SOP and proposing updates when the documentations does not align with our day-to-day processes.Takes ownership on every audit request that involves his/her processes.Responsible for keeping accurate and up-to-date Work Instructions, Job Aids and Desktop Procedures documentation.Assist the management team and other colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or in progress in Business, Accounting, or Finance.1-4 years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience.Proficiency in Accounting Skills and basic US GAAP/IFRS knowledge.Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, S4 HANA).Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.Good written and verbal English communication skills required.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups and individuals.Preferred experience in a fast-paced multinational company, in a Shared Services environment is a plus.Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.
