The Account Manager II is responsible for developing our Clinical Diagnostic sales within the North West and Central Ontario and Manitoba territory as well as providing customer satisfaction and accurate forecasts for the territory. The Account Manager is responsible for professionally representing Bio-Rad Laboratories in all sales related activities.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and promote sales, qualify customer needs, qualify demand for highly technical customers (laboratories) and propose appropriate solutions.Meet or exceed sales goals with regards to volume, servicing existing accounts, maintain present business and developing new business for our Clinical customers.Negotiate and conclude sales and sales contracts: reagents, laboratory equipment, services, etc.Responsible for all customer contact and customer needs in assigned regionMaintain records of accounts including purchasing habits and contacts in Salesforce.comMaintain knowledge of customer’s requirements and potential new businessSubmit quotations to meet deadlinesProvide customers with evaluation material and follow through on resultsFollow-up on customer inquiries and make pricing decisionsDevelop thorough knowledge of all product lines in our Clinical Diagnostics portfolio with awareness of all up-to-date literature and new product launchesPerform product demonstrations and troubleshoot problemsUpdate Sales Management software on a regular basis (Salesforce.com, SOP)Interact with Bio-Rad personnel for the mutual benefit of company sales and growthResponsible for knowledge of current competitor activities and its submission to proper internal sourcesKeep Customer Service informed of any billing/shipping changes in territoryProvide names of available customers for product evaluationsAttend Sales Meeting and Training SessionsReview monthly sales analysis reports to identify and act on any drops in volume or lost customersAttend conventions/workshops to advance product knowledge and represent Bio-Rad Laboratories Clinical Diagnostics in a professional manner

Required Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelFamiliar with Salesforce.comRigor, organization, strong interpersonal skills, customer orientationProficient in moving a sales opportunity from lead qualification to purchase in a professional and timely manner.Proven organization skills and strong teamwork skillsAbility to make sound business decisions in an objective mannerFluent in English

Required Experience

Minimum 2-5 years sales experience in the clinical diagnostic or related fieldBachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or M.T./A.R.T. certification with demonstrated proficiency and technical knowledgeKnowledge and experience in Transfusion medicine

Requires frequent traveling in territory (about 40-50%) by car and by plane All applicants must be fully eligible to work in Canada
