Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $37,600.00 - $56,400.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $18,800.00.

Job Description

The Account Manager I plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by cultivating strong client relationships and leveraging the full suite of Advanced Convention Services products and services. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned accounts, ensuring timely and professional responses to client needs, and supporting the broader objectives of the Advanced Convention Services team. Work location may vary based on event schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts.Negotiate pricing, product offerings, and promotional packages with prospective clients.Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets and team objectives.Develop and maintain detailed sales plans, forecasts, and customer databases.Collaborate with internal teams to craft tailored solutions that meet client needs.Identify key decision-makers and deliver compelling presentations to secure business.Participate in ongoing training and internal meetings to stay current with industry trends.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of convention pricing and service options to recommend optimal solutions.Oversee day-to-day account management, including quoting, billing, and customer support.Assist with pre- and post-conference meetings, both locally and nationally.Foster professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and building partners.Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity.Maintain flexible availability, including weekends, to support Advanced Convention Services Sales staff and event schedules.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a related field (e.g., convention sales/support, hospitality, customer service); OR a BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR an MS/MA degree in a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

General understanding of network topologies.Experience in the commercial telecommunications industry.Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and adaptability.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational, analytical, and collaborative abilities.
