We are seeking a qualified Account Manager for Bulk Gases to join our Merchant and Onsite team in Winnipeg. This role will encompass a territory that includes Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest of Ontario.
Account Manager - Bulk Gases (Full Time) Winnipeg, MB
As a Linde Canada Inc, Account Manager with a background in sales, engineering or business, your primary role will be to profitably manage and grow the business in your territory related to the supply of cryogenic Bulk gases (i.e. oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen), to gain new strategic opportunities, and meet sales targets within an assigned designated geographical area or group of customer accounts. Accountable for maintaining/improving existing business and responsible for creating new business growth through a variety of channels including business development support, leads and self-initiative.
Under little supervision, this individual contributor is accountable for maintaining and expanding, profitable contracts with large, key and/or complex accounts often consisting of multiple products. Responsible for developing relationships with key decision makers, obtain a greater understanding of the customer’s commercial drivers to create opportunities for selling Linde’s products, services, and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day relationship management of existing customers.Promotes sales, introduces the organization's programs, and provides account service to cross section large, key and/or complex accounts. Focuses on territory profit improvement and gaining new business opportunities and developing long term Product supply contracts with them.Support and promote the various Linde application technologies to help solve customer problems and grow Linde’s business.Proactively develop strategies to renew supply contracts with existing customers.Maintains and increases existing revenue stream.Uses account management tools to ensure ongoing accuracy of customer information.In the process of doing business with the customers, develops knowledge and collects data on the account's business, products, processes, growth opportunities and customers, to better understand general market and specific customer needs.Develop an account plan for each account, incorporating a fully developed customer needs analysis, including long and short-term goals and tactics, pricing strategy and a renegotiation plan.Maintains good coordination and communication with other sales groups, and functional groups, such as marketing, customer service, production, engineering, logistics, law, and others, to ensure that the account strategies are aligned with the available resources and market objectives.Understands competitive activity and strategies with in assigned area/group of customers. Monitors competitive activities.Understands the value of Linde’s products and application technology in developing pricing recommend-actions.
