Role and Responsibilities
The Account Manager – THD Pro and HD Supply Channel will oversee the implementation of all sales quotes and pricing (quote proposal, management, and negotiation) with local and regional market sales professionals and builders. This role is accountable for building a strong business pipeline to achieve annual sales objectives. The position is responsible for training and cultivating all outside Pro sales personnel and working with inside Pro sales personnel in closing new business opportunities with single-family home builders, multi-family developers/contractors, and remodeling companies. The AM is responsible for ensuring all sales programs are known to Pro personnel and are leveraged to drive revenue and market share. This role will also facilitate Samsung’s order process with Pro ISSR personnel to ensure compliance and efficient execution. The AM role converts national and regional execution plans into local market actions to achieve specific goals and objectives.
Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while positioning the business for continued growth.Regional training events with OSR’s/ISSR’s, even outside of THD organized eventsOwn the relationship with OSR/ISSR team members and their builder accounts for all Samsung Home Appliance productsThis involves ride-along sales calls together with OSR's to win customers over to Samsung’s Builder program and capabilities
Travel to jobsite to meet with builder and to determine job-site readinessCoordinate with Samsung inventory and delivery teams to ensure product will arrive on timeLocal Pro Roadshow events hosted by stores within your designated territoryQBR session with Home Depot's Regional Sales Director and PSMHost regional and national Roadshow eventsPoint of contact for all escalationsWork with the new Samsung Sales Reps (SSR) team for new quote creations and sales opportunitiesThis includes product recommendations and inventory insights
Visit the local THD stores to visit with the ISSR team and help train the pro desk on Samsung programsProvide competitive market intelligence feedback to the Regional and National Sales Directors.Utilize all available marketing support materials and lead generation programs.Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of direct experience or equivalent industry experience.Progressive sales career working with the home building industry, preferably in the home appliance space.History of exceeding challenging sales quotas and overcoming objections/obstacles.Known to be a thought leader within a high-performing sales team.70% of the time is spent in selling activities (face-to-face with trade customers), with 30% spent in the home office conducting sales administration activities.Grow relationships with builder distributor personnel, home builders, developers, and contractors.Possess solid time management and organizational skills.Excels in multi-tasking, responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-up.Ability to utilize various tools to hunt for new business opportunities.Highly effective in business negotiation.Self-motivated with the ability to perform job requirements independently.Product training expert on home appliances and smart home connectivity.Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills…Salesforce experience is a plus.Become an active member of local industry associations such as NAHB, NKBA, and ASID, attend key meetings, and join select committees.Participates in regional and national trade shows.Must reside in Atlanta.* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
