Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Account Manager is accountable to design and execute sales and marketing programs for the Retail Company's account. Key driver for success in this position will involve managing key distributor, broker, and GPO relationships to drive sales growth and ensure contract compliance and leveraging broker networks and GPO partnerships to expand market share and optimize pricing strategies. Ultimately, the scorecard for success will be measured by the increase of profitable sales as well as deepened relationships within the account. Essential Functions Own and grow assigned accounts across foodservice channels. Collaborate with brokers to execute sales plans and promotions. Navigate GPO contracts, pricing, and compliance. Identify new business opportunities and drive conversions. Track performance metrics and hold quarterly business reviews Increase sales at the account through analytical and fact-based selling Increase sales by developing creative promotional plans and managing through to profitable execution Increase sales by finding new business opportunities and through consistent follow up Work with a sense of urgency towards projects, requests and deadlines Coordinate activities and communications among vendors and company functional groups Monitor competitor activities and recommend paths forward to address these activities Monitor credits and account receivable Communicate with all departments and organizational levels regarding sales and operations Assure that established company policies and procedures are followed in achieving the above accountabilities Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5+ years in food distribution or foodservice sales. Experience with brokers and GPOsQualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:
Proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
