Account Executive - NOTA
Overview:

This role focuses on proactively prospecting and engaging new leads that align with identified needs, with the goal of onboarding them to NOTA—a specialized product offering. Beyond initial acquisition, the individual will represent the full suite of the bank’s capabilities, identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:Prospect and qualify new leads by identifying customer needs that align with NOTA, leveraging data, insights, and outreach strategies to drive acquisition.Deliver consultative sales experiences, positioning NOTA as a solution while introducing the full breadth of the bank’s capabilities to meet broader client needs.Manage the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition to NOTA and setting the foundation for long-term relationship growth.Cross-sell additional products and services based on evolving customer needs, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.Collaborate with the product team, sharing customer feedback, market insights, and usability observations to help shape and improve the NOTA experience.Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions, using CRM tools to track progress and inform strategy.Stay informed on industry trends and competitive offerings, continuously refining outreach and engagement tactics to remain relevant and effective.Deliver engaging presentations and educational sessions to groups of potential customers, showcasing the value and capabilities of NOTA to generate interest and uncover new business opportunities.Develop and maintain a network of referral sources to generate leads for additional business development opportunities.Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.Participate in a formal sales call program to develop new business.  Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as networking and lead generation tools.Manage an assigned portfolio and service clients of portfolio through meetings to discuss needs, outline services, and resolve problems.  Complete regular portfolio profile update calls to solicit customer feedback and ensure product performance aligns with their expectations.

Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or related work experience including a minimum of 2 years related work experience. Prior experience prospecting and proactive client outreach using techniques such as cold calling, networking, and community involvement.Strong communication skillsStrong presentation skillsStrong material preparation skillsExperience with multiple internal stakeholders and customersPrior experience working in flexible environment and operating with uncertainty and change

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $60,890.34 - $101,483.90 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
